Immerse yourself in the serene life of a Buddhist monastery while making a meaningful impact. We invite compassionate individuals to volunteer by teaching English to our young monks, aged between 4 and 12 years.
Many of our monks come from remote Himalayan regions and have limited access to quality education. By teaching English, you empower them with essential language skills that open doors to broader educational resources and global connections.
Conduct English classes focusing on basic grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills.
Engage students through interactive activities like games, songs, and storytelling.
Foster a supportive and enthusiastic learning environment.
Accommodation within the monastery, allowing full cultural immersion.
Three daily vegetarian meals.
Opportunities to participate in meditation sessions and learn about Buddhist philosophy.
A chance to explore the rich cultural heritage of Nepal during your free time.
No prior teaching experience is required—just a good command of English, patience, and a willingness to engage with young learners. Whether you're a student, a professional on a sabbatical, or someone seeking a purposeful travel experience, your contribution will be valued.
We recommend a minimum commitment of four weeks to ensure a meaningful exchange for both volunteers and students.
